Blog post #1 - Role Model

     A musician that I really enjoy listening to is Role Model. I originally started listening to him because I saw his videos on TikTok. He would post funny content whether it was promoting his music or just for fun. Once I began to listen to his music, it started to change the way that I listen to music in general. I would say that my taste in music definitely shifted to a more country/indie/pop type from what I mainly listened to which was disco/pop. Rolemodel has also influenced me to listen to more podcasts. Although I've always listened to podcasts he introduced me to a creator that interviewed him who I know listen to regularly. 



One of the reasons why I took this class is because I consume most of my content through audio mediums. Podcasts have always been something I have been interested in and would love to possibly have my own podcasts one day. I am interested in the relationship between sound, the listener and the podcast.

    TikTok has become a great platform for musicians to find new audiences since songs blow up so quickly and get attached to popular trends. It works the same for well known artist’s or someone who’s just starting out.
    I find it interesting that your music taste has switched from disco/pop to country/indie/pop since those genres are pretty different from each other. I’m curious to know, what caused your shift in music taste?
